The Raynes Park Festival was organised by the local businsses, MyRaynesPark and a host of local churches and schools. The evening was dry with a chilly wind but this did not put people off comming to celebrate the start of the Christmas season. There was carol singing and dancing by the station and at Waitrose a live nativity scene complete with small farm animal. On the corner by the Tavern pub amongst the Christmas trees there was Santa’s grotto – he was kept very busy with over 200 children to meet and hand out gifts.
The event finished with more live music and a wine tasting.
