Raynes Park is very spread out and the streets are lined with many small & independent shops and businesses divided by the railway line. The area has over 100 independent shops & businesses some very unique and specialised on both sides. All are walking distance from the train station and if you are a resident a lovely stroll. The High Street also hosts many chains such as Waitrose, Costa Coffee and of course there is a vast section of restaurant, bars and coffee shops.
The shops, bars, restaurants and the small & independent businesses, make this Town Centre interesting and unique together with the magnificent Lantern Arts Centre which is a Charity run organisation. The Centre holds dance & music classes and produces wonderful musicals and plays throughout the year.
Local shops and businesses that will greet you by name, and online shops that will deliver your order personally and at a time that’s convenient to you.
Such service is ‘second to none’ with the knowledge as well that from shopping locally is often cheaper with a greater section of choice.
By supporting your local businesses you are also getting involved with local events that are both seasonal and yearly.
For example Raynes Park has had the wonderful Prudential Ride London passing through the main high street which includes about 30,000 cyclists for the last three years.
And again this year the Town is to host another spectacular Christmas Event which involves many of the chain stores and local independent shops & businesses.
The local businesses in Raynes Park attend meetings organised by local residents and support groups and are very involved with issues such as parking, rubbish collection and, other matters that effects businesses overall.
Currently in the area there are many new developments both residential and business and again these new project are supported by the local Raynes Park businesses. It is a very busy and growing community and one that needs your support to help keep this town vibrant and alive!
